Below is a practical overview of the routes and available means of transportation, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.

How to reach us

Reaching Positano is possible in several ways. Arriving by car offers flexibility, but be prepared for winding roads and heavy traffic during the summer months.

Buses connect Positano with Naples, Salerno, and Sorrento, providing an economical solution, though they can be crowded in peak season. In the warmer months, ferries and hydrofoils are among the most enjoyable options, with routes from Naples, Sorrento, Capri, and Salerno that let you admire the breathtaking coastline from the water. For those seeking comfort and speed, taxis and private transfers are always available, ensuring a smooth arrival right to your destination.

1From Naples (A3)

To reach Casa Cinque Positano from Naples by car, take the A3 highway towards Salerno and exit at Castellammare di Stabia, then continue along the SS145, passing through the picturesque towns of the Sorrento Peninsula. Once in Meta, the coastal road SS163 leads directly to Positano: a spectacular and scenic drive, though winding and often busy during the summer months. The journey takes on average between an hour and a half and two hours, but it is well worth it for the breathtaking views along the way. Keep in mind that parking we have parking, so it’s advisable to book in advance.

2From Salerno

Follow the signs for the SS163 Costiera Amalfitana towards Positano. The coastal road offers spectacular views but requires careful driving. Travel time: approximately 45 minutes.

3From Rome

Take the A1 motorway to Naples, then the A3 towards Salerno. Exit at Vietri sul Mare and follow the SS163 towards Positano. Total time: approximately 3 hours.

Helpful Tips

The SS163 Amalfitana can be very busy during the high season (June-August). We recommend departing early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid heavy traffic.
